Tummy tuck procedures treat loose abdominal skin and relaxation
of the abdominal muscles generally due to weight, age, or pregnancy.
For those unable to tighten the skin or muscles with exercise alone,
tummy tucks can return the abdomen to a flatter, more youthful appearance.
The Tummy Tuck is performed under general anesthesia and an overnight
stay is usually required. The mini-abdominoplasty variation tightens
only the lower abdominal skin (below the "belly-button")
while the standard abdominoplasty tightens the skin above and below
the belly button.
